Puro.earth, a leading carbon-crediting platform, has announced new leadership appointments to accelerate carbon dioxide removal (CDR) at scale. Jan-Willem Bode has been appointed President, while Antti Vihavainen, co-founder and former CEO, will serve as Vice Chairman. Additionally, Ellen Brouwer has been named Co-Head of Standard to enhance carbon credit verification processes.
Bode Brings 25 Years of Climate Finance Expertise
Bode, a long-standing expert in climate finance, corporate sustainability, and project development, has been a Puro.earth Board Member since 2021 and an advisor to the Voluntary Carbon Markets Integrity Initiative (VCMI) since 2024. His new role will focus on strategic initiatives, customer engagement, and scaling Puro.earth’s impact.
