Strengthening Global Climate Advisory

South Pole, a leading carbon asset developer and climate consultancy, has appointed Dara Olufon as Co-Head of its Global Climate Advisory arm. Olufon, previously a Partner at McKinsey’s UK office, will assume the role in March 2025. He co-leads the division alongside Franziska Sinner, reinforcing South Pole’s commitment to expanding its global advisory expertise.

A Deep Track Record in Energy Transition

With over 15 years of experience, Olufon has advised executive teams and investors on clean hydrogen, biofuels, carbon capture, e-mobility, and renewable energy. His expertise will play a pivotal role in advancing South Pole’s climate solutions.

“I am thrilled to welcome Dara to our executive team. His proven ability in driving business transformations and leading energy transition strategies will be instrumental in advancing South Pole’s mission of true climate impact for all,” said Daniel Klier, CEO of South Pole.

Olufon’s appointment is part of South Pole’s broader leadership investment strategy. In 2024, the company appointed Dame Inga Beale as Board Chair, Daniel Klier as CEO, Nadia Kaddouri as CFO, and Leila Kamdem as CRO.

“What drew me to South Pole was the chance to take my passion for accelerating the energy transition to the next level. More than anything, I’m committed to helping our clients navigate their own transformations – not just in theory, but through meaningful, actionable change,” said Dara Olufon, Co-Head of Global Climate Advisory at South Pole.

His leadership is expected to enhance South Pole’s ability to scale innovative climate solutions and drive measurable impact across sectors.
