Recently named one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nycfoodpolicy.org\/40-under-40-the-rising-stars-in-nyc-food-policy-class-of-2024\/\">40 Under 40: The Rising Stars in NYC Food Policy (Class of 2024)<\/a>, her journey is a testament to her dedication and passion for making a positive difference in the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-from-port-au-prince-to-nyc-a-journey-of-impact\"><strong>From Port-au-Prince to NYC: A Journey of Impact<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Growing up in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Lynn has always been driven by a commitment to improving health and well-being. <em>&#8220;My career journey has been driven by a commitment to making a positive impact on the health and well-being of communities,&#8221;<\/em> <strong>she reflects<\/strong>. This dedication led her to pursue a Bachelor&#8217;s in Nutrition and Food Science from Hunter College, followed by an MPH from NYU\u2019s School of Global Public Health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-leading-the-way-at-nyc-health-department\"><strong>Leading the Way at NYC Health Department<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, Lynn is the Get the Good Stuff Program Coordinator at the NYC Health Department. For the past five years, she has supported the day-to-day operations of this rapidly expanding supermarket-based nutrition incentives program. In partnership with independently owned supermarkets and their point-of-sales vendors, Get the Good Stuff helps New Yorkers participating in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) purchase and consume more fruits and vegetables. She doesn&#8217;t have a specific food policy hero but admires these organizations&#8217; work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When it comes to personal preferences, Lynn enjoys a breakfast of overnight oats and lists pasta as her favorite food. Her ultimate last meal on Earth would be Tasso kabrit, salad russe, and diri kole ak pwa (Fried goat, beet\/potato salad, rice and peas).
