However, these partnerships are predominantly loan-based, limiting effectiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;Loans add to LMICs\u2019 debts and don\u2019t provide capital to catalyze private-sector investments in renewables, or give incentives for closing fossil-fuel infrastructures early,&#8221;<\/em> the authors warn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Climate finance clubs should offer substantial grants contingent upon LMICs providing credible emission reduction plans aligned with the 1.5\u2009\u00b0C target. This will benefit both donors and recipients by reducing global climate risks and boosting economic stability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-economic-benefits-and-reduced-climate-risks\">Economic Benefits and Reduced Climate Risks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A practical coalition, excluding the U.S. but including G7 nations, the EU, Norway, Switzerland, Australia, and South Korea, could feasibly contribute around $500 billion annually. Targeting major emitters among LMICs, such as Colombia, Kazakhstan, Nigeria, Mexico, Thailand, and India, would yield substantial emission reductions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Immediate and substantial climate finance is a strategic imperative, ensuring global emissions decrease rapidly.
