These partners will help commercialize Syre\u2019s circular polyester at scale and drive a major shift in the global textile industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cWe are thrilled to announce our partnerships with these esteemed and forward-thinking brands, representing different segments and sizes,\u201d<\/em> said <strong>Dennis Nobelius, CEO of Syre<\/strong>. <em>\u201cThey are truly front runners, understanding the need to secure capacity of a scarce resource to be.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-supporting-industry-transformation\">Supporting Industry Transformation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Founded in March 2024, Syre\u2019s mission is to decarbonize and reduce waste in the textile industry by producing circular polyester that cuts CO\u2082e emissions by up to 85% compared to virgin oil-based alternatives. The company\u2019s first large-scale plant is being established in North Carolina and is slated to produce 10,000 metric tons of circular polyester annually by 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-strategic-launch-partners\">Strategic Launch Partners<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Gap Inc.<\/strong>, the largest specialty apparel retailer in the U.S., aims to source the full annual capacity of Syre\u2019s initial plant\u201410,000 metric tons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cThis partnership enables us to accelerate our progress toward realizing a more circular fashion industry,\u201d<\/em> said <strong>Dan Fibiger, VP of Global Sustainability at Gap Inc<\/strong>. <em>\u201cIt is an important lever for Gap Inc. in our efforts to bridge the climate gap.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Houdini Sportswear<\/strong>, a Swedish leader in circular outdoor apparel, has committed to sourcing 50% of its polyester from Syre over the next three years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cWith nature as our blueprint\u2026 we are closing in on that vision,\u201d<\/em> said <strong>Eva Karlsson, co-founder and Chief Creative Officer at Houdini.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Target<\/strong>, which operates nearly 2,000 stores in the U.S., is incorporating Syre\u2019s recycled polyester into select owned-brand products as part of its goal to make 100% of those products circular by 2040.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-scaling-to-meet-urgent-market-demand\">Scaling to Meet Urgent Market Demand<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>According to recent research from Syre and McKinsey, the supply-demand gap for circular polyester could reach 10\u201312 million tons per year by 2030. Existing solutions like bottle-to-fiber recycling are not circular, and regulatory shifts are expected to accelerate demand for textile-to-textile innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With its Launch Partners, Syre aims to unlock broader industry adoption and build a scalable, circular supply chain.
