Reimagining Traditional Energy Careers

Leow Hui Min aims to change the misconception that the energy sector is labor-intensive and solely for engineers. “We are exploring new ways to get youths more actively involved and cultivate an interest in them to join the energy sector,” she explained. She highlights the sector’s evolving nature, especially with opportunities in green energy and the use of technologies like generative AI to improve productivity. “For instance, it could be about how we can leverage different technologies such as generative AI to improve productivity and work efficiency,” Leow Hui Min said.

Experience and Connect

Her advice to youths exploring career paths is to take up internships for first-hand industry experience and to interact with colleagues and stakeholders to gain a deeper understanding of the work.
