Key Impact Points:

  • Real-time access: Infrastructure investors and managers can now access 2025 assessment data as soon as it’s submitted—months ahead of October results.
  • Efficiency boost: The new feature enables direct data downloads from the GRESB Portal, streamlining reporting and reducing manual effort.
  • Enhanced decision-making: Early data access empowers users to proactively manage sustainability risks and regulatory compliance.

GRESB Rolls Out 2025 Submitted Data Feature for Infrastructure

GRESB has expanded its Data Exporter with a powerful new tool—2025 Submitted Data—designed to give infrastructure investors, managers, and assets early access to submitted assessment data, supporting faster decision-making and improved sustainability outcomes.

“By providing early access to data, this new Data Exporter functionality enhances data management, improves accuracy, and supports timely reporting and decision-making.”

How It Works

Through the GRESB Portal’s Data Exporter tab, users can now:

  • Select a dataset from the GRESB Infrastructure Asset Assessment, Development Asset Assessment, or Fund Assessment
  • Export in CSV or XLSX format
  • Receive files instantly via email

This feature offers automatically validated data, ensuring integrity and consistency across all infrastructure assessments.

Why It Matters

As sustainability regulations tighten and non-financial reporting expectations grow, timely access to verified data has become mission-critical.

“Early access to data ensures companies stay aligned with internal and external reporting deadlines, supporting companies in meeting corporate and regulatory requirements with confidence.”

Asset managers benefit from reduced manual reporting burdens and seamless integration with internal systems. Investors gain earlier visibility into asset performance, allowing for proactive risk management and stronger ESG engagement.

“Investors and asset managers can gain a clearer understanding of the sustainability performance of infrastructure assets and funds, allowing for more effective asset management and risk assessment, improving sustainability outcomes.”

Benchmark Report Enhancements

GRESB has also rolled out major updates to its Benchmark Reports:

  • Infrastructure Reports: Now feature clearer emissions breakdowns (location- vs. market-based), net-zero visualizations, and embedded guidance.
  • Real Estate Reports: A redesigned, section-based format with intuitive navigation and enhanced visuals.
  • New Residential Component: Tailored for portfolios with over 75% residential GAV, offering sector-specific indicators and a standalone Sector Insight: Residential Report.

These upgrades are part of GRESB’s push to deliver transparent, decision-useful insights across all asset types.

GRESB and the Net-Zero Challenge

GRESB continues to lead on net-zero alignment with tools and content supporting carbon reduction across infrastructure and real estate. In a recent update, Erik Landry, GRESB’s Director of Climate Change, highlighted the organization’s evolving role:

“Explore target-setting, emissions data, and tailored approaches that address the unique challenges facing both real estate and infrastructure stakeholders.”
