With this in mind &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/unece.org\/sustainable-energy\/publications\/guidebook-critical-minerals-sustainable-energy-transition-support\">Critical Minerals for the Sustainable Energy Transition: A Guidebook to Support Intergenerational Action<\/a>\u201d was launched today at the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/unece.org\/sustainable-energy\/events\/unece-resource-management-week-2024\">UNECE Resource Management Week 2024<\/a>. This guidebook serves as a crucial tool to aid policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, and civil society to navigate the complex landscape of mineral resources crucial for the global shift toward renewable energy technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The guidebook was prepared by the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/unece.org\/sustainable-energy\/committee-sustainable-energy\/youth-resource-management\">Resource Management Young Member Group (RMYMG)<\/a>&nbsp;of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/unece.org\/sustainable-energy\/sustainable-resource-management\/egrm-and-bureau\">UNECE Expert Group on Resource Management<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bianca Derya Neumann, RMYMG Chair, emphasized the urgency of integrating sustainable practices in the mining and management of critical minerals and stated: &#8220;As we accelerate towards a low-carbon future, the responsible extraction and management of critical minerals become paramount.
