Faisal<\/strong>, UNDP Programme Specialist, outlined the current biodiversity financing shortfalls and recommended a <strong>National Biodiversity Trust Fund<\/strong>, along with biodiversity budget tagging, eco-tourism revenue sharing, and payments for ecosystem services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cEcosystems are foundational economic assets. Investing in biodiversity means investing in food and water security, climate resilience, and human well-being,\u201d said <strong>Sonali Dayaratne<\/strong>, Resident Representative (a.i.), UNDP Bangladesh.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-global-solutions-local-action\">Global Solutions, Local Action<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dr. Md. Kamruzzaman, ndc<\/strong>, Director General of the DoE, called the launch:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201ca milestone,\u201d urging collaborative action to enhance resilience and protect biodiversity through innovative financing.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The event included interactive sessions on global best practices, national strategies like the <strong>National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (NBSAP)<\/strong>, and alignment with the <strong>Global Biodiversity Framework<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Annabelle C.
