{"id":2233,"date":"2024-04-25T14:01:58","date_gmt":"2024-04-25T14:01:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sdgnews.com\/?p=2233"},"modified":"2024-04-25T14:02:01","modified_gmt":"2024-04-25T14:02:01","slug":"bmo-launches-greener-future-financing-program-to-help-u-s-businesses-build-climate-resilient-operations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sdgnews.com\/ru\/bmo-launches-greener-future-financing-program-to-help-u-s-businesses-build-climate-resilient-operations\/","title":{"rendered":"BMO Launches Greener Future Financing Program to Help U.S. Businesses Build Climate Resilient Operations"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Commits\u00a0$30 million\u00a0supporting\u00a0<\/em><em>small and medium-sized businesses investing in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and mitigating impacts of weather-related events.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Businesses eligible for a rate discount on loans used toward climate resilient measures.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>BMO announced the launch of its\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/c212.net\/c\/link\/?t=0&amp;l=en&amp;o=4146400-1&amp;h=3688160781&amp;u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.bmo.com%2Fen-us%2Fmain%2Fbusiness-banking%2Fbusiness-lending%2F&amp;a=Greener+Future+Financing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Greener Future Financing<\/a><\/em>\u00a0program in\u00a0the United States\u00a0\u2013 its first climate financing program to help small and medium-sized businesses build future-ready, climate-resilient operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 24 states \u2013 including&nbsp;Arizona,&nbsp;California,&nbsp;Colorado,&nbsp;Florida,&nbsp;Idaho,&nbsp;Illinois,&nbsp;Iowa,&nbsp;Indiana,&nbsp;Kansas,&nbsp;Michigan,&nbsp;Minnesota,&nbsp;Missouri,&nbsp;Nebraska,&nbsp;Nevada,&nbsp;New Mexico,&nbsp;North Dakota,&nbsp;Oklahoma,&nbsp;Oregon,&nbsp;South Dakota,&nbsp;Texas,&nbsp;Utah,&nbsp;Washington,&nbsp;Wisconsin, and&nbsp;Wyoming&nbsp;(businesses located in&nbsp;Michigan&nbsp;or&nbsp;Texas&nbsp;must be within 100 miles of a BMO full-service retail branch in an adjacent state) \u2013 BMO&#8217;s&nbsp;<em>Greener Future Financing<\/em>&nbsp;program will help businesses make progress on climate-related goals by providing the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Climate resiliency loan discounts:<\/strong>\u00a0Current and prospective customers may receive a 0.5% rate discount on qualifying business term loans, business flex loans, owner-occupied commercial estate mortgage loans, and investor-owned real estate mortgage loans ranging from\u00a0$100,000\u00a0to\u00a0$1,000,000. Loans must be used for an eligible purpose within the program guidelines which may include one of the following: renewable energy such as solar power and renewable fuels energy efficiency including LED lighting, heat pump systems, smart meters and other performance monitoring equipment, flood proofing and more. Customers can also receive an additional 0.25% off a loan rate when they set up automatic payments from a BMO business checking account at loan closing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Green business advisory:<\/strong>\u00a0BMO will support, educate, and advise business owners with the information and capital required to build climate resilient operations and support efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. lead partner in the transition to a net-zero world.
