Many investors do make the right noises on climate change but there\u2019s a real failure to walk the talk.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rising Greenwashing Concerns<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The survey highlights widespread skepticism about the authenticity of corporate sustainability claims, with 85% of investors identifying greenwashing as a growing problem. This mistrust extends to nonfinancial reporting:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>36%<\/strong> of investors believe companies have not made enough progress in this area.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>80%<\/strong> demand clearer material statements in reports, allowing for easier comparisons.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>64%<\/strong> call for independent audits of sustainability disclosures to enhance credibility.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Limited Readiness for Long-Term ESG Analysis<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The findings reveal investors&#8217; preference for short-term impacts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Only <strong>25%<\/strong> feel equipped to assess the long-term implications of ESG policies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>57%<\/strong> are focused on immediate outcomes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Dr. Bell warned:<br><em>\u201cUnchecked climate risks can spell disaster for companies and their financial backers, so it\u2019s incumbent on investors to know what they\u2019re putting their money into.
