Meta’s Former ESG Head to Lead U.S. Sustainability Network
Amanda Gardiner has been appointed Executive Director of the UN Global Compact Network USA, the American arm of the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative. The announcement was made by the Network USA Board of Directors on June 16, 2025.
Amanda Gardiner brings over two decades of experience in integrating sustainability into business operations. Most recently, she was the first Head of ESG at Meta, where she led ESG strategy and implementation during a transformative period for the tech sector. Prior roles include leading corporate responsibility at Verizon and Pearson, advising executive teams on sustainability and social impact.
