Global ocean commitments made over the past decade are due for delivery, and a slate of diplomatic deadlines, international summits, and treaty negotiations will decide whether humanity turns the tide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201c2025 is a bellwether year for the ocean,\u201d the World Resources Institute writes. \u201cIt\u2019s one of deadlines and milestones.
