Victoria Billing, British Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark
Victoria Billing has spent nearly three decades navigating some of the most important relationships in British foreign policy.
She joined the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1997 and has since served across Europe, Africa and the Middle East, with postings in Yangon and Jerusalem and senior roles spanning European affairs, diplomacy and government strategy. She was appointed British Ambassador to Denmark in March 2026 and formally began the posting in May.
Her career has been particularly shaped by Europe.
From 2022 to 2025, Victoria Billing served as the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office’s Director for Europe. Earlier, she worked in the UK Department for Exiting the European Union as Deputy Director for Institutions and Member States and served as Private Secretary to the Foreign Secretary.
Before that, she was British Ambassador to Senegal, with responsibility also covering Cabo Verde and Guinea-Bissau. Her earlier career included work on European security and defense policy, development and political affairs.
